Tapioca starch is able to absorb and carry large quantities of oils or anhydrous liquids. It is hydrophilic, so that once it comes in contact with water, it immediately dissolves, releasing oils, fragrances...dispersing them into the warm water. This is an excellent additive for bath bombs !
